CookiePolicy

How we use cookies and similar technologies. Last updated March 24, 2026.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use the service. GlitchLoot uses cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) to operate the platform.

2. Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to function. You cannot opt out of them.

  • Authentication: session tokens, refresh tokens (HttpOnly cookies)
  • Security: device fingerprinting for fraud prevention
  • Preferences: language, currency display mode, theme settings
  • Auth state: localStorage for maintaining login state across tabs

3. Analytics Cookies

We use analytics to understand how users interact with the platform — which pages are visited, which features are used, and where users encounter issues. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We do not use Google Analytics or third-party ad trackers.

4. Third-Party Cookies

When you complete tasks through our offer-wall and survey partners, those partners may set their own cookies to track task completion and attribute rewards. These cookies are governed by the respective partner's cookie policy. GlitchLoot does not control third-party cookies.

5. Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the platform. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block all or specific cookies
  • Set preferences for specific websites

6. Data Stored Locally

In addition to cookies, GlitchLoot uses browser storage:

  • localStorage: auth state, UI preferences, dismissed banners
  • sessionStorage: temporary navigation state

Clearing your browser data will remove these entries and log you out.
